Nature's Path Gluten Free Cereal - Review
Nature's Path is an independent, family-owned, organic only premium gluten & wheat free cereal specialist that has been following a proud sustainable cereal 'crop strategy' since 1985. Recently we had the chance to try some of Nature’s Path’s ‘Free From’ and ‘Kids Free From’ cereals.
The ‘Free From’ range includes Crispy Rice (gluten free), Maple Sunrise (gluten free), Mesa Sunrise (gluten and wheat free) and Millet Rice (wheat free). We were sent the Mesa Sunrise and the Maple Sunrise to try. Dad was especially keen to try these as he has IBS which is aggravated by wheat. The Mesa Sunrise is a crispy, multigrain flake cereal which is made with organic corn, flax, quinoa and amaranth. This was Dad’s favourite; he especially liked it when he added some fruit to it.
I loved the Maple Sunrise which is a sumptuous cereal with a delicious diversity of crunchy textures made from corn, rice, flax, quinoa, buckwheat and amaranth. Gluten free cereals are sometimes seen as being dull and boring, but this is far from boring. It’s really tasty, with loads of different textures and flavours – a great way to start the day!
It’s hard for children with gluten intolerances – their friends get to have fun, tasty breakfast cereal, but they can’t. Nature’s Path have changed all this with their new range of gluten free cereal that is perfect for adults and children alike. Munch and O’s are tasty and nutritious, a great alternative to sugar-filled mainstream cereals.
The O’s and Munch cereals were a big hit with all the family, they were both lovely. None of us were able to tell that it was a ‘free from’ cereal, we were very impressed with their taste and quality. We loved the packets too – very fun and bright, they would be very appealing to children.
If you visit the Nature’s Path website there are lots of recipes you can try using various cereals from the range. I love the look of the ‘Really’ Rocky Road recipe which is made using the Munch cereal. I think it would be perfect for a special treat for children. It looks yummy!
